SHOSINGEKIGOJI ( 1968-1972 )   Godzilla continued his protector role in his Toho series with the movie Destroy All Monsters. In an effort to make Godzilla one of the more intimidating monsters out of the massive cast of 10 kaiju in this film, he was once again taken back to his more reptilian roots with an elongated snout and jaw, and smaller more slanted eyes. The series of movies this suit would endure (Destroy All Monsters, Godzillas Revenge, Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster, Godzilla vs. Gigan ) were full of action packed battles with multiple Kaiju.

Right: Godzilla crouching over in Godzilla vs the Smog Monster
To fit such epic entanglements, the suit was slimmed down and created to fit the actor for a better performance in swift combat. The tail was also shortened, along with the rounding off of the dorsal spines.
