BAGERAH
CreatorMarc Daoust DescriptionThe loving house cat of this game's designer, Bagerah has become one of the stranger Monsters on the scene today. Essentially a 15000 ton house cat the length of 4 city buses, Bagerah attained this enormous size thanks to a malfunctioning X-ray machine at the veterinarian's office. All looked fine for about a week, he looked and behaved normally, until a burglar tried to break into his owner's apartment. The burglar accidentally stepped on Bagerah's tail, and at that point he started to grow to an unnatural size, about the average size of a lion or tiger. The burglar panicked at the site of this giant house cat before him, and tried to escape. One swat, a loud thump, and it was all over. Bagerah's owners, awoken by the noise, found a giant cat pinning the burglar to the floor with its paws. After a bit of confusion and disbelief, they came to realise that this giant house cat was their beloved pet, Bagerah. Once the cat had calmed down, he shrank back down to his normal size. The police were called and the burglar taken away, shaken but uninjured. After being interrogated, the burglar told the police about being attacked by a giant cat. The cops thought he had lost it, and put his story down as "Possible Delusion due to Head Trauma" in their report. Somehow, G-Force had gotten their hands on this report and thought it best to investigate. They arrived at the North Bay, Ontario residence of the cat's owners, and asked to see the cat. After some preliminary tests, and the owners' accounts, Bagerah as taken to G-Force North American Headquarters in New York. It was then determined that he could grow to a maximum size of 110 meters in length, and a weight of about 15000 metric tons. The mutation, however, had not affected Bagerah's behaviour other than a significant jump in intelligence. He was now able to communicate through telepathy with some of G-Force's psychics. It was also discovered that he was able to control how big he could grow, and being scared, hurt, or upset would cause him to instinctively increase his size. The presence of his owners also had an effect on his rapid growth. If his owner's were present, he would remain his normal size unless they were put in danger. G-Force's final decision on what to do with this cat was to let him stay with his owners, but under constant monitoring thanks to a tracking chip implanted in his neck. G-Force has also allowed Bagerah to stay with his owners as long as he agreed to use his abilities to defend, and never to destroy. The consequence of breaking this agreement would be a short stay on Monster Island, a sort of "time out" as Bagerah understood it. Today, Bagerah lives the life of a normal house cat. Tomorrow, he could be defending cities rampaging monsters. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
