BY THE FOUNTAIN
kahlil - 1998

One night I have a vision,

There I saw an Elysium.

At the middle are pillars of gold;

Surrounds a big fountain that is never been told

There in my vision, I saw myself;

Wearing black and white that looks so gest.

At first I thought it was cool,

But later I look like a ghoul.

I see the fountain that is clear as crystal.

It glooms so shinny that looks natural.

As I came inside and stand by the fountain;

A strange voice spoke to me even to my vain.

The voice said, “Why are you wearing such as this?”

Upon hearing, my heart becomes crevice.

“Wait here,” he said

While waiting, I am not afraid I don’t know why

But deep inside, I know I am dry

Hours had past; the voice came back at last.

He asked, “Why are you doing?”

I looked at him and saw he was smiling

“You said wait!,” I replied

Then He hugged me like a child;

Son, I just tested your patience.

As He hugs me, I felt His loving presence.

By the fountain he took my old clothes.

One-by-one He took it like a goad.

By the fountain, all my clothes became while

Now I am clean in His sight

And I see my heart crystallized and shine so bright.
