The Philippine Princess of Qld Quest (PPQ)
is a major fund-raising project of the Association. Its proceeds are used to
finance our livelihood and medical programs, as well as, to provide educational
assistance to financially deserving students in the Philippines. Non-government
organisations such as the Iloilo Development Centre Foundation (IDCF), Bacolod
City Lions Club and a number of students from Central Philippine University
(CPU) have all been recipients of KSQI’s financial assistance. PPQ has a broad and positive impact to our candidates. It helps them develop their self-confidence and enhance social skills, and provides them an opportunity to know more about their Filipino heritage.

PPQ Rules
1.`The Quest is open to girls 6 to 11 years
old of Filipino descent.
2. Within the duration of the Quest, there will be
a. Three (3) canvassing periods
b. One (1) Presentation/ Talent Night Show
c. One (1) Coronation/ Final Pageant Night Show
3. The over-all highest fund-raiser, after the results of three canvassing
periods have been added, is the Winner of the title “Philippine Princess of
Queensland Quest 2004”.
4. Second highest fund-raiser up to the fourth highest fund-raiser will be
awarded First Runner-up, Second Runner-up and Third Runner-up titles
respectively. All other Candidates will be awarded as Runner(s)-up.
5. Each Candidate who has raised a minimum of $2,000 shall receive an
Educational Assistance equivalent to 5% of their total funds raised. The
Educational Assistance fund will be given on the Coronation/ Final Pageant Night
Show.
6. Among the special awards to be given out are Best in Talent, Best in Gown,
Best in Costume, Ms Friendship, Ms Photogenic, Perfect Attendance and Ms Cutest
Smile. Each special award winner will receive a sash and/or trophy.
7. If the Winner of the Quest has raised a minimum of $5,000 she will be
eligible to receive a major Prize (non-convertible to cash) that includes the
following:
a. Return trip for two (2) to the Philippines
b. Trip Health Insurance and Travel Tax
c. One night accommodation in Manila
d. Three Night accommodation in Iloilo City
e. Participation in “Dinagyang Festival Parade” in Iloilo City
f. Media Interviews
g. Television Appearances
