I am a red savage of Gor, a free woman. My life began in the Barrens of Gor (vast, largely unexplored rolling grassland plains east of the Thentis Mountains), controlled by the many different warlike tribes of Red Savages. The Savage culture is residually a part of the Plains Indians, primarily Lakota, of Earth (imported to Gor by the Priest Kings, on the voyages of Acquisition).

By birth and position I am trained as a Tribal History Keeper and Story Teller (generally Goreans refer to this as a Scribe) and own a small house of trade Maze Winds

I was Tribal History Keeper and Story Teller (Scribe) for two Savage tribes. I created the homepages of Yellow Knives (YK website authored with Stones Spirit Thunder November 1999) and then Kaiila Savages Tribes homepage. (KS website authored June 2000) Adaptations by others have since taken place.

Savage free women work hard through their lives ensuring the comfort of their men and family, being useful to thier tribes. Currently I am History Keeper and Story Teller of

Savages don't have specific castes, rather are useuful and skilled in each aspect of thier daily life on the barrens. I have extensive training in savage healing, as well as Red Savage ways, and in the training of inahan. Naturally I have skills in basketry, bead and leather working, as well as sewing. Butchering a Pte, or cooking and preservation of any game, and setting up a lodge or breaking one down are common skills of a Savage free woman. We easily organize and handle sleen, kaiila, and inahan, as we pack travois, family, and lodge, to travel from camp to camp.

The center of a free woman, revolves around her One and family. At one time I had met One in Kaiila Savages and enjoyed years of contentment with him. When he left that tribe I, of course, left to follow. We traveled exploring Gor and in search of a home.. He dissapeared while exploring and I was left alone in Torvaldsland to fend for myself.

We had formed a small merchant house together with friends... Maze Winds (authored September 20o1)... Without companion or children the Gorean free woman devotes her time to her caste/business and Home Stone as I did.

I spent a winter in a place far far north in Gor, known as Vanir's Fjord in Torvaldsland. Many people from different Gorean lands and cultures lived in VF, and gathered in the Great Hall nightly, before this Home Stone was destroyed by its Jarl Kurzon and Jarla Nyx, who chose to leave Gor at that time. We were all left without a Home Stone. I followed one once of the Fjord, Einer to his new settlement, a private villa in the south of Gor, on a well traveled trade route, Genisian Road Villa.

While there I sometimes traveled to various cities and fate called me one night to the city of Turia to attend the free companionship ceremony of its Ubar Hesprit and Farida. There, lingering over my goodbyes, I caught the eye of a visiting Savage Akicita. Upset to find a Savage and free woman of His tribe apart from the barrens, He took me to thier wechote where I now live.

On occasion I still trade with Maze Winds and enjoy travel to various civilizations of Gor on business and to explore.

Then and now, as a History Keeper and Story Teller, I maintain a journal or registry of those I meet of all the different castes, clans, crafts professions and trades of Gor. This Gorean Registry and the information I gather about all the lands of Gor, is an enjoyable and never-ending task.

What is Gor? A series of Novels by John Norman about a counter earth planet - controlled by insect like beings known as Priest Kings. There are other intelligent species there, but inhabited and primarily about humanity imported from various ancient cultures of earth and there technology is frozen and limited by the PKs....

A major point of the novel series is that male and female nature are perverted and twisted on earth. Gor is the planet where nature prevails. Men dominate in Gor. Women are submissive in all things. If a woman is free, its only by the grace of her family and the Home Stone that protects her freedoms. To remain a Lady she ensures her actions are graceful and modest, demure and witty, and respectful of the Men of her Home Stone. She may perhaps be a loving Free Companion to her One for a contracted year of Free Companionship. Savages marry for a lifetime.

Otherwise, women are taken as inahan (slave)....helpless, sensual, hot-blooded and collared kajira (trained pleasure slaves).
