"I'm just a shy guy....yaah shy guy..." Half whistling, half singing as he danced through the corridors, Python, one of the arch demons of of hell, did a Michael Jackson spin while carrying a silver serving tray in his right hand. "Ba..da da da..I'm just a love machine...oh oh..." Singing and dancing, he shimmied his way down the dark hallways to the dungeon where the youngest demon prince was being held. A subordinate of Valefar, he had been given strict orders to bring the food, slide it through the hole, and leave. Seemed simple enough. Although he couldn't understand why for the life of him, he was stuck with this particular task. He was powerful, hence his status as an arch demon. and maybe gullable at times but he was still one of the most well respected in his ranks. "hm..hm hm... Gonna go feed the little prince. La la la...don't know why....la la. I'm just a shy guy. Shy guy. Yah yah. da da dam......wa.............." "Woah." When he finally reached the heavy iron gates, his felt his jaws unhinge. The entire door was sealed with iron locks and chains held in place by enormous metal pegs. The silver tray rattled slightly as his hand shook on their own accord. Python swallowed and took a step closer. In all his years he had never seen something like this. He could sense and feel a deep, dark aura eminating from behind the heavy iron doors. "And I thought the youngest was suppose to be a sweetie pie. Hn." Taking a deep breath, the large demon knelt down and rapped his knuckles on the gates. "Dinner's here your magesty." He lifted the lid to reveal a tantelizing dinner, steaming hot and delicious. The demon found himself suddenly hungry and dipped his sharp talons onto the side of some red sauce for a little taste. His eyes rolled back as he savoured the flavours and he had to keep himself from moaning his enjoyment. "oooh yeah babe. Ur-hurgh. I mean. Here you go." He slid the heavy panel which blocked the serving hole aside and regretibly pushed the tray through. Sighing a little, he pushed the panel back then stood up to leave. Just as he was turning around, there was a loud rapping from the other side of the door. He looked back and stared quizically at the gate. "Yeah?" There was a muffled response and he moved over to place his ear against the iron. "What?" Open the gate. "Can't do that sir. Valefar's orders." No. Open the...the..viewing thingy, that thing at eye level that lets you see inside. Open that. Unsure of the prisoner's intentions, yet seeing no harm in doing so, Python hesitated, but did as he was asked. The panel opened with a loud screach and after reeling back from the noise, he looked inside. Big blue eyes and an equaly big and beautiful smile greeted him. Python: "Eh.....hi?" Quatre: "Hi. How are you?" Python: "I'm.....good. And you?" Quatre: *shrug* "Could be better." Python: "Okay..." Quatre: "So. What's your name?" Python: "I am Python. Prince of lying spirits your highness." *bows* <<konk>> "Ow." Quatre: *laughs* "How do I know you're telling the truth if you're the prince of lies?" Python: *rubs head* "Um...you don't?" Quatre: "Ha haha. I suppose. Hey. I'm not hungry. You can eat it if you want." Python: *eyes light up* "Really? I'm starving." Quatre: "Oh yes. Absolutely.." Delighted as ever, the large demon once again opened the lower panel to retrieve the tray to from the inside. Still piping hot, he dived right in as the young prince continued to chat him up. "You know, I've heard about you. Valefar doesn't talk about his underlings often." "Oh yeah? What did he say." "Well...he mentioned something about good work, and...all some other things..." Unnoticed by Python, he had actually left the bottem panel open. Now, as he was being inconspicuously distracted, a little black crow was waddling its way across to the other side, carrying a few strands of gold in its beak. Once he was safely across to the other side, Siren immediately flapped his wings and flew to the shoulder of the arch demon. Surprised by the sudden appearance, Python almost dropped the tray but quickly recovered and placed it on the ground. Python: "Hey. Where'd you come from little guy?" Siren: "Kaww kaaaw." *shakes feathers* Quatre: "Python." Python: "Yes?" Quatre: "Never tell a stronger demon your name."

Before he could turn away or even utter a sound, the demon prince's eyes flashed a bright red. Python found his body paralysed. The dark aura he had felt but had dissipated earlier, came rushing back with suffocating density. His eyes grew wide with fear when he saw that the aura was eminating from the small demon inside the room and rushing at him like the feathery wings of the crow on his shoulder. "Sleep. Only by my orders shall ye rise." Python's eyes grew heavy and he could no longer keep them open, nor did he have the will to do so. He felt his consciousness waver and fall into a deep, dark, place. But the place was comfortable, warm....safe. It felt like a soft embrace and he melted into it. The demon's body drooped letting Quatre know that the spell had taken effect. He nodded at the crow, eyes still glowing brightly, and the minion deposited the golden strands onto the demon's head. "Will is my power, in power is my will. Let light deceive and illusions weave, my form, my shape reflect." As the last word left his lips the hairs that Siren dropped vapourised. Turning into a golden mist they encircled the floating demon's body, spinning around him like a mini tornado. The crow dived for cover in the corner as the speed of the mist intensified, and with a great dash of wind the demon's form had transformed to that of his new master. "Shift." The identical bodies on either side of the door vanished for a split second then materialized again. The only difference is the dark aura had transversed over to the other side as well. But that too dissipated before any could reach beyond the lower staircase, and Quatre, now free, stretched his arms. "Well that was easy." "Kraaaw." "Oh shut up." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Night had fallen and the stars sparkelled in the endless sky like millions of diamonds. Up in Heaven, Israfel lay at his eastern post, mournfully watching the stars. He had been laying there for hours, his mind wondering to a place long past. ///~ Dressed in a simple white robe, hair covered by a bandana, Israfel kneeled on the ground, sorting an unruly pile of scrolls, books, and other oddities in the library.. He sang lightly as he worked, coughing ever so often after blowing the dust off of the musty books. He had just placed a particularly large volume back on the shelf, when suddenly, there was a slight yelp, followed by a huge crash. He turned around to find a small cloud of dust rising from a newly messed pile of scrolls. "Hello?" There was some high pitched coughing and some rustling from under the dust. Smiling slightly, the Arch Angel spread his wings and gave few flaps. The subsequent gust of wind blew all the scrolls in the air as well as whatever had fallen into them. "Ahhh....aastaroth..help!" Israfel laughed in amusement as a tiny demon, dressed in mini-black robes wiggled and flailed his arms in the air trying to grab hold of something. It was a cute little thing, with bright shiny gold hair and huge sparkeling blue eyes. The little demon tried flapping its wings but they were too small to support him in any way. The wind eventually died down and the demon shrieked as it fell down into the angel's open arms. "Hello there little demon. Are you lost?" Looking up, a little confused as to where he was, the baby demon nodded, grabbing tightly onto Isrrafel's robe. It's lips quivered and eyes took on the watery look of a lost puppy. The angel patted the his hair gently and held the child close. "Don't worry little demon. Israfel will take good care of you. Okay?" ~///

For what was probably the millionth time, Israfel rolled and shifted until he was lying face down in the fluffy cloud. He lay there, plummeling the billowy mass every so often in an attempt to ease the frustration, but generally, he just....lay there. A part of him wished that the damn thing would just swallow him whole so that he may dissappear from this damned existance but, his prayers have so far gone unanswered. And after much contemplation, Israfel finally parted the cloud beside his head, and looked to the world below. Man's land was so peaceful in the night. While he knew there were a great many creatures still awake and busy scurying about, there was something about the tranquil stillness that brought him some serenity. And unconsiously, he found his eyes traveling on their own to the portals of the Shadow Lands. "hmmm.........Someday. When the time is right." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Desss..mond. Here Desmond Desmond. Here little warthog..." Morning had arrived by the time the demon reached the Gates. After stretching his wings and flying a few times around the world, he got the kinks out of the big black mass and went searching for some fun. Siren had one hell of a time trying to keep up with his master and was exhausted before the games even began. Landing on a nearby tree the tired crow shivered then set about grooming himself. Siren: //Oh sire would you pleeease take a rest?// *flap flap* //It's unhealthy to fly around at that speed.// Quatre: "You're just slow."
