Currently: With the support of the wizard Taliesin, the Dukes of Hardale recognized the only child of King Gareth as the first queen of Hardale. Though only 16 she has shown wisdom beyond her years. Her youthful and joyful attitude has been a distinct change from a line of Kings noted for their taciturn and serious lien in ruling. Also for the first time in its history, the ruler of Hardale seems genuinely concern with the welfare of the common person. It is rumoured that Taliesin had a hand in this too. Currently relationships with neighbor Bynia is stressed as King Bran III is upset that Lorelei won't take his sickly 10 year old son as a husband. Unfortunately this is not a situation that will be resolve soon as the Queen's heart belongs to the Young Duke of Port Bliss. It is believe that Brynia might have something to do with the bandit raids, but no evidence has been found to prove it one way or the other. Beside the problems with Brynia, Hardale is enjoying a time of great prosperity. Even the goblin raids have slacked off. There are those predicting that the reign of Queen Lorelei will be a glorious one.
