Soft Light

Soft light filters through
the large tree branches,
caressing my face
through the darkness.

It shimmers forever
in my eyes,
and keeps me warm
through the night.

My soft light
casts away all shadows,
bringing me out of hiding,
into a brighter place.

My light brings my
smile back to me,
when things have gone astray.

It weaves hopes and dreams
together with the power
to give me flight.

Through thick and thin,
in the hardest of fights,
when I couldn't win,
you were my light.
