Details in part III which would suggest Farquhar's journey occurred in his mind were that while he was in the water, he was spinning, the spinning really imply that due to the lack of oxygen he felt as if he were spinning, thinking he was whirling round and round like a spinning top, yet he noticed details like a water snake swimming towards him, and a locusts sitting on veins of a leaf located in the forest. He also notices the gray eye of a sniper firing at him.
