Magna Carta
Magna Carta is the basic constitutional laws which influenced the constitution of the modern day a lot.  The Magna Carta impacted the concept of equality in the future England governments because King John, he bound not only himself but his "heirs, for ever" to grant "to all freemen of our kingdom" the rights and liberties of the great charter described.  The Magna Carta also influenced the English settlers in the New World because they also said that their heirs would be guaranteed freedom.  Another example that the Magna Carta had influenced Europeans was when the young republic of the United States gathered to make a constitution they used the legal system they knew and admired, the, English common law as evolved from Magna Carta.  By all these examples it is obvious that the Magna Carta greatly influenced the thought of people concerning the rights of humanity.
