Tying Directions:
- Start thread behind hook eye, wind down to the hook bend, tie in lead wire
on the underside of the hook. Coat windings with head cement.
- Tie several strands of flashabou in on both sides.
- Tie in chenille about 1/2 inch back from the hook eye. Wrap forward toward
hook eye, tie off and cut.
- Pull thread out and dub tightly with secret stuff. Wrap dubbing back over
chenille.
- Now, dub secret stuff a second time, this time loosely, very loosely. Wind
forward to form head and tie off.
- Take bodkin and pick out the secret stuff, working farthest from the hook
eye towards the hook eye.
- Now, take bodkin and dip in head cement, then wipe the cement on the sides
of the head of the fly. The secret stuff will slightly melt and will be
formable at this point. Keep coating with head cement until a neat head is
formed.
- Finish fly by painting on eyes and gills with fabric paint.
