Hook Mustad 94840 #2-#8
Thread Black or Brown 8/0
Tail 15 - 20 Pheasant Tail Fibers
Body Tan foam over Brown Micro-Chenille
Eyes White plastic with pupils colored on
Legs Brown or Black rubber

Tying Directions

  1. Thread the hook.
  2. Tie in Pheasant Tail Fibers extending back the same length as the hook shank.
  3. Tie in a strip of Tan foam the same width as the gape of the hook, starting at the eye and stopping at the bend.
  4. Tie in the Micro-Chenille and wrap forward. Stop at the 1/3 point from the eye.
  5. Tie in 2 pieces of rubber for the legs and feelers.
  6. Pull the foam over the whole business and bind it down up to the eye of the hook.
  7. Tie the plastic eyes in just behind the eye of the hook.
  8. Pull the foam back over the plastic eyes and bind it down.
  9. Knot thread as you will. Cement.
  10. Clip the foam at the 1/2 point on the shank and add a V-Notch on the end.

Tie on to leader. Catch lots of Bass with a jerky retrieve or by plopping it along a bank.
