Thread any color
Tail hair from the base of a bucktail
Flash Pearl Krystal Flash
Body Deer hair, spun
Face cement the thread wraps, and flexament for the face

Tying Instructions:

  1. Attach the thread to the middle of the hook shank and wrap to the back.
  2. Tie on tail at the bend and wrap thread up to where you started the thread.
  3. Tie in four strands of Krystal flash and one more clump of tail material.
  4. Begin adding clumps of spun deer hair, spinning and packing as you fill the body.
  5. Tie off thread and put a small drop of superglue on the last wraps for durability.
  6. Trim the body to the shape of your choice.
  7. Add flexament to the face with your bodkin. This will stiffen the face for more of a "popping" action.
