Hook 4 – 10 streamer hook
Head small bead chain
Thread gray 6/0
Tag fire orange marabou (or any other color)
Underbody white mohair
Body custom cut rabbit strip

Tying Directions:

  1. Start with the hook in normal position.
  2. Tie in the marabou tag.
  3. Tie in the mohair yarn.
  4. Tease mohair with velcro brush.
  5. Flip hook over, tying the front of the rabbit strip in.
  6. Whip off front of rabbit strip, glue, add eyes, and glue again.
  7. Pike hook through tail of rabbit skin so that it lays flat on the shank of the hook.

Notes:

This minnow / leach imitation works well when fished very slow. Due to the hook facing up, it does not get hung up on the rocks and also has a pretty lifelike appearance which helps when the bass are following everything and hitting nothing.

It can be tied in a number of color combinations and because of this can imitate anything from leaches to suckers.
