Place the hook upright in vise. Wrap a thread base the entire length of
the hook shank.
Place eyes on top of hook shank, 1/3 of shank length back from hook eye.
Secure eyes by wrapping the thread diagonally across the eyes alternating
wraps from the left and right side. (This will form an "X" across
the center of the eyes.) Then make several wraps in a circular motion
between base of eyes and hook shank. Secure with half hitches and place a
drop of head cement over wraps.
Place lighter color of wing material (white bucktail) on top of hook and
secure with several wraps in front of eyes. Next, pull wing over eyes and
secure behind eyes. Finish by holding wing up and spiral wrap back 2/3 of
shank length.
Turn hook over (hook point up) and attach 4 strands of Krystal Flash in
front of eyes. Next, attach a second wing (chartreuse bucktail) equal to
length of first wing, over Krystal Flash.
Trim both wings in front of eyes and wrap several times with thread to
create a head. Next, trim Krystal Flash so that it extends slightly beyond
both wings.
