Tying Directions:
- Tie in the Uni-Thread about half way back on the shank and wrap to bend of
hook.
- Tie in a piece of Mottled Oak Turkey.
- Trim butt end, and wrap back to tie in point.
- Tie in a length of Holographic Tinsel.
- Wrap to bend of hook and back to tie in point.
- Select a small bunch of Squirrel Tail, and even tips in a stacker.
- Cut about 12 strands of Peacock Krystal Flash about the same length and put
in with Squirrel Tail.
- Hold over shank, extending to bend of hook. Tie in and trim butt ends.
- Whip finish and cement thread wraps.
- When dry, tie in Kevlar thread.
- Select a bunch of deer hair, even in a stacker, and cut butt ends even.

- Make two loose wraps around hair and shank. Make a third wrap and flare hair
out.
- Whip finish and trim thread.
- Shape head with a double edge razor blade, and cement head.
Notes:
I tie this fly with 2 types of thread. I use 6/0 Uni-Thread for the Tail,
Body and Wing, and Kevlar thread for the head. I like using Kevlar to spin the
deer hair, but it is tricky to work with when forming the body and wings. The
Uni-Thread makes for a better looking body, and is much easier to work with.
