He was born a Panola Hospital in Carthage, Texas weighing 7 lbs 6 3/4 oz. and 21 inches long. He was a breach baby causing his birth to be by C-section. He was born with extremely long fingernails and two teeth coming through. He was due on the 24th of November but was breach and they kept waiting for him to turn. I went into labor on the 4th of January, 1974 the day of one of the worth ice storms in East Texas.
We lived in Holly Spring, Nacogdoches County, Texas and had to drive 50 miles to Carthage. My Daddy Finis Jefferson Vaughn drove me to the hospital.
The day after his birth he broke out in the hives and all his thick black hair fell out.
