Jasmine Walks Without Seeing
Jasmine's History
Jasmine doesn't know her date of birth or the date of her first change. In fact, she doesn't remember anything before January 17, 1997. She's not sure what happened to her, she just knows that she woke up in a hospital bed recovering from injuries she didn't know how she'd gotten, with no clue who she was or where she'd come from. The only thing she did have was the name Jasmine Jardin, which one of the nurses gave her to keep from sticking her with the name "Jane Doe". The name came from the jasmine flowers that grew in the small garden behind the hospital that Jasmine would spend hours in each day before she was released. After she was released, she was hired by the hospital director to take care of the garden.
Jasmine was by herself for a few months after her release from the hospital, until a Child of Gaia named Michael Dove's Beak found her in a park. He thought he recognized something in her look (Pure Breed 2), but couldn't tell where he'd seen the look before. But it was enough for him to "test" her with Scent of True Form, and he found that she is indeed a Garou. He "adopted" her and took her in to teach her what she needed to know. During her time with him, she met another Garou named Horus. They became friends, and, when the time came for Jasmine to move on, Horus and Michael help her get set up in her shop. Horus moves in with Jasmine in the apartment over th e shop, and helps her run the store, which is a good thing, as she is definitely in need of someone with a good head for business. Horus is helping her learn more fighting skills, and is also determined to get her to learn how to run the business by herself, just in case.
Horus, of course, has his hands full with Jasmine. Jasmine is very absent minded, and can be easily distracted by the spirits who like to come around Garou. She has been known in the past to wander off from her pack because she's started chatting with a spirit and got distracted. In really important situations, she can, for the most part, concentrate on what's going on and keep up, but, if it's not something dire, then she is very likely to wander off if someone in the pack isn't keeping an eye on her.
On top of all this, Jasmine gets fuzzy memories every once in a while that she doesn't understand completely... memories of the rites and traditions of another tribe. She isn't sure what tribe it is, though, which makes it more confusing. Suffice it to say, the tribe that she was born to may someday find her, and they might not take to kindly to her new tribe affliation.
