OUR TALES:

From a Level II climb, we shifted back to Easy climb just for the reason that we wanted to go out that weekend. We were not satisfied with only spending our Sunday at Maculot, so we decided to have a side Saturday climb at the Manabo Peak. We were just four then - that's Ruben, Mau, Delia Raquel & Benjie. Because of this, there was a threatened formation of KADEMOBAKSDA group since they said we were "nagsosolo". Luckily, the group didn't really pushed through with the set-up.

This was also the first time the three of us - Mau, Delia Raquel & Benjie - experienced night trekking. We would never forget that experience. Along that trek, one of us thought someone or something would snatch us on our backs, one thought one glimpse on the trees we would see strange species, etc. Even Ruben who had already experienced nigt trekking in Pulag was scared that night ... for he has almost fully discharged his head lamp batteries. We were super relieved when we finally got back to carina's Place and went home.

DESCRIPTION:

Climbing Manabo Peak would just take you 1.5hrs from the jump-off which is at Carina's Place. There are not much challenges along the trek except that we had to jump over fences to get to the summit and being scared to death by a mad carabao who chased us on the peak.
