Turtle Pie
Ingredients

1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tbsp corn syrup
16 pecan halves
2/3 cup semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp butter or margarine

Directions:

Sprinkle chopped pecans over the bottom of the pie shell. 

Combine the next four ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir and bring to a boil. Keep stirring as it continues to boil for five minutes. Be careful because it sticks to the bottom of the pan quite readily.

Remove from heat.

Slowly beat with a spoon for about two minutes until it shows signs of thickening; not too long or it will harden when cool. 

Carefully spoon over the chopped pecans. 

Place the pecan halves around the outside edge in an upright position against the crust. Push them down into the filling so they stay upright.

Cool.

Melt the chocolate chips with the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Spread over the pie.

Chill until cool.  Then Serve
This Pie is very rich,  but oooohhhh so good.
