Nate discovered his talents early in his life and self-taught himself, keeping countless journals and diaries about his experiances and observations of life. These diaries are considered the most precious books for anyone with telepathy.
Nate travelled the world when he was in his twenties, and while in Australia, he fell deathly ill, landing himself in the Crawley Hospital. A young nurse named Maria met him there and aided him in getting well. Maria's family had a history of similar talents as the ones Nate had. Nate found himself quite in love with her, but his curiousity of the world drove him to leave her, with a promise he would come back when he was done "searching." While he was away, Maria married a very wealthy man named James Clancy and had a son, James Clancy Jr.
Nate eventually caught up with Maria, who had moved to America with her husband and child, and told her that he had an idea... and idea for an entire town made by and for people like them, people with telepathy and telekinesis. For outcasts and lost souls who could be in danger if their talents were discovered.
Maria convinced her husband to fund this project, which Nate named South Crawley, and building began almost immediately. Nate met and married a woman named Nancy, and they eventually had a daughter named Pandora.
Nate was the founder and cornerstone of the South Crawley community. He was dear friends with Ben and Molly Lundy and was a father figure to James "Jagger" Clancy Jr. and Kyler.
