Alex Lundy
Alexander O'Rion Lundy is the son of Ben and Molly Lundy, Scottish immigrants to the US. Alex was born in the United States and lived in James Clancy Sr.'s home for the first few years of his life. A curious kid, he became like a little brother to James Jr "Jagger".
Alex's parents helped build South Crawley, and moved there when it was finished. Ben Lundy was very good friends with Nate Anderson, the founder of South Crawley, so Alex sat in on their meetings quite often.
By the time Alex was a teenager, he found himself stuck with baby sitting duty quite often, especially for Nate's young daughter Pandora. Alex's idea of fun usually ran along the lines of blowing things up, getting into trouble and dragging Jagger and another friend, Bill, along with him when he did. Babysitting didn't fit too well into those plans. He would sometimes choose to bring Pandora with him and the other boys, rather than stay home and watch her. The schemes Alex came up with would regularly end in disaster and scolding from the adults, but it never hindered him from coming up with bigger, crazier plans again soon.
Alex sometimes dreamed of the outside world, as a teenager. He would go with his dad, whenever they left South Crawley. One of his favorite things to do was to get in a pickup truck with his dad, Bill and Jagger and go to town to get a few treats and watch how "normal" people lived.
Alex's strengths were blocking bundles and telepathy. Nate said Alex was one of the strongest blockers they had ever seen; a trait Alex seemed to have inherited from his father, who was also good at blocking. For this reason, Nate called Alex a "protector."
When South Crawley fell, Alex was one of the few survivors. He was able to rescue Pandora and Heath, but was shot in the process. He and Ruby Conner were the oldest survivors. They took the kids to James Sr, and Alex was taken immediately to the hopsital. He struggled against the wound and pulled through eventually.
Alex was put into a foster family; friends of James Sr. They were good people, and took good care of him, to the best of their ability, though they never knew about his special "powers."
Alex left them at eighteen for the life of a drifter, living in America, Scotland and England over the years, making friends and then moving on.
