kerii: Konnichi wa, minna! As you can see, we're finally back!
Jin: Hisashiburi desu.
Kai: I feel like I've forgotten how to do these talks.
MARU: The break was good, though. Right? We did a lot and had lots of fun.
Tsubaki: But I missed the Marmosets.
ke: Well, Japan was great, but it's nice to be working again. I guess the big news is our new single, "chiheisen."
Tsu: It means "horizon."
Kai: I really like this song. It's both hard and soft, and it doesn't let the listener go.
Jin: The lyrics are beautiful; kerii-san's Japanese is improving so much.
MA: This is the most complicated song we've ever done. There are so many layers of sound. Really difficult and rewarding.
ke: Well, this is all part of my - our - new goal. To return to the roots of visual kei, to make music that is challenging and relentless, to force people to listen. I think "chiheisen" does that.
Kai: So does the b-side, "oshikake." It's kind of a scary song.
Tsu: Creepy.
Jin: Depraved.
ke: [laugh] Am I all that? Well, it's a very visual kei kind of song. Some of the words seem like a love song, but it's not a healthy kind of love.
MA: We also have another new single coming out this month, "mado no mukou e." It's a very beautiful song.
Jin: Very poignant, sad but hopeful. I like it.
Kai: That's cuz you wrote the music! But it is a nice song.
ke: I wrote the lyrics while walking on my campus in Japan, so I hope it has a kind of nostalgic feel. The b-side is another hard song, "Death Carnival."
Tsu: Talk about the new album!
ke: Oh, right. The new album will be much harder, much rawer, and much trickier than anything we've released before. The theme will be "eroguro," so it might not be pleasant. But I think you'll like it.
Kai: I do.
Jin: It scares me a little, but it's fun to play with this kind of sound.
MA: Well, it's a change, but I like writing harder songs for once. I especially like the crazy songs with lots of weird sound effects.
Tsu: Can we go back to doing oshare kei?
ke: Well, that's all the time we have for today! Mata na!
Tsu: You didn't answer me!
