these use the same drive voltage, gaps and caps from MK1
This little monster of a coil is the most powerful unit I have made. It can make 7.5 inch sparks and lots of corona. notice the topload is a lot bigger and im only using a 50nf cap bank still at 2000v :)
there getting more efficent. plus, im using newer copper heating tube for the primary coil. i measured the inductance with an LCR meter. The pic looks very eerie but what a nice spark!!you can see the primary at the botom middle setion. it is a helical wound primary.
