| We have traced our family roots back to Wasenweiler, in the southwestern part of Germany to the earliest marriage date of Johann Jakob Kabiser in Wasenweiler church in 1690. Our Family has travelled to Wasenweiler over 6 times over 20 years, and we have taken pictures, met long-lost relatives and found more information regarding our heritage. | Baeden-Wuerttemburg houses the Black Forest, or der Schwarzwald. The Schwarzwald is directly north of the Kaiserstuhl, a wine-growing region in Baeden-Wuerttemburg. Wasenweiler is located on the southern edge of the Kaiserstuhl. |
| Wasenweiler directly east of the larger town of Ihringen. It's approx. 20 miles northwest of Freiburg, and about 5 kilometers from the Rhein/France border. |
