The wait is finally over! The most awaited Bollywood flick of this millennium, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, is finally set for a gigantic release through the world. Indian film fans have been waiting for this movie ever since it was launched by Karan 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' Johar. That�s hardly surprising when you consider the cr�me de la cr�me of the industry feature in the red-hot cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Rani Mukherjee and Jaya Bachchan.

The film's soundtrack has already hit record shops everywhere and is currently selling like hot cakes. The catchy songs are riding up the charts and becoming a rage with the masses. So, will the film do the same thing? With something of this magnetite, it's almost guaranteed! However Karan Johar must make sure that he lives up to the sky-high expectations that his fans have gathered - which isn't an easy task.

The story of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is about a happy family, headed by Yashovardhan Raichard (Amitabh Bachchan) and his loyal wife Nandini (Jaya Bachchan). The couple has raised their two sons with tender love and care. The elder boy, Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) shares a very special relationship with his mother, whilst Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) is more of a daddies boy.

The family has a huge secret. Yashovardhan and Nandini only have one real son (Rohan), whilst Rahul was adopted at an early age - something he discovered at the tender age of eight. However this subject is rarely talked about within the family because both brothers are treated equally.

Its love at first sight when Rahul spots the beautiful Anjali (Kajol), who is a sweet and simple girl who returns the affection shown by Rahul. The lovebirds marry although Yashovardhan doesn't really approve of his new daughter-in-law. When Anjali moves into the house the tension increases and Rahul becomes conscious of the fact that he isn't a true member of this family. His relationship with his father, who he has always loved unconditionally, is jeopardised and Rahul decides its time to move out.

Nandini and Rohan are particularly heartbroken when they hear Rahul's decision. The pain becomes too much and Rohan vows to reunite the family and bring love back into their lives. His sidekick in the mission is Anjali's fashion mad younger sister, Pooja (Kareena Kapoor), who also happens to feel kuch kuch for Rohan! But will they succeed in the battle to move the family for a state of ghum, to eternal khushi?

Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, or K3G as Karan Johar has nicknamed it, is expected to be a record breaker at the box office and is a must-watch movie. Keep the date in your diaries, 14th December 2001 - magic is about to be created.
