Snow, Updates, Trip Plans, and London
Alriiight! Its snowing!! I can't wait to take some pictures of THIS, because its really cool. The paths up Arthur's Seat are covered in snow, so they look like white lines of icing zigging across a large brown cake. Mmmm, cake. Anyway, I'm really glad I didn't go hiking up the Seat like I was planning on though-- that would be less than fun.
I'm working out the plan for the month after school, so hopefully I'll have some concrete plans to let everyone know about soon. Hmmm...plotting....
So I'm obviously back from London, and wow I had a great time. I'm a massive, huge, major, complete and one hundred percent geek though- I spent the entire time at various branches of the Imperial War Museum. If I could have got to the fourth branch (its in Manchester) I would have, too. So most of my new posted pictures (Located in the Imperial War, Belfast and the London album) are about that. But I did get some other fun ones, and I'll steal pictures from Jamison and Flora too. I was also alone the entire weekend, and we all know what happens when Cass is left to her own devices around war-related materials. That's right, I got all kinds of inside tours and special privilages, heh. I explored areas of the HMS Belfast which are actually closed to the public, took pictures of memorials where photographs are not actually permitted, rang the ships bell (which was REALLY cool) and then of course, the free tours from old gentlemen coming back to remember. Those were hard...its always hard to hear the stories of people who remember, who feel. But I learned a lot, and I hope to pass those lessons on.
I also got massive amounts of research done, so if anyone asks about this weekend, it was entirely school related. (Big, cheeky grin). Entirely. I have stories about all the pictures I posted, so I'll use the days in my journal that I didn't actually get to write on to explain them. I'll do the HMS Belfast on Saturday January 24 and the Imperial War Museum and RAF Museum (in the same photo folder) on Sunday January 25.
I have a couple new pictures in the Edinburgh-January folder as well, but they're not TOO exciting. I think there's a picture of the Geography building where classes are, oh...and a rediculous picture of Lindsey in front of a ghetto, retro Nuggets jersey. It was just too funny, I had to photograph that.
Sam, Heather, Madeline-- I took the pictures at the train station just for you :-) I hope you like it.
On that note- I need to figure out a way to take my own picture--the ones of me taken with my camera always come out blurry. That's kinda frustrating, I would like one or two nice pictures with me in them. Its not like its hard- just look through the viewfinder and stand still until it beeps. *sighs* Oh well. I'll get another Harry Potter picture when we go back to London.
