Hmmm....
I'm watchign HOOK, the scene where Tink carries Peter across the Thames and past Big Ben...and it dawned on me...I have been there! I have stood on that bridge, at the spot where the kissing couple rose into the air, and stared up at Big Ben by night. That is a wonderful feeling.
Remember that wonderful book by Jonathan Ames I mentioned a few entries ago? Well I emailed him, mostly assuming it was a fan site and that I would say how much I enjoyed the book. He emailed me back! Hazzah!
We went to the museum today---eventually----after my stellar lack of navigational skills kicked in. Dammit, why can't I ever get lost ALONE? I never get lost alone. Only with crowds. Grr. Oh well, that'll teach me I suppose.
Anyway, this museum, the Scottish National Gallery, is quite massive and under construction and filled with more art than I can handle in one or two days, so I'll have to go back. BUT at least its not filled with goldfish!!
I've just finished packing for this weekend--I'm going to London again, so I"ll not be updating until I return home on Monday. But I think this will be a great trip- I mostly know my way around this time, and I have lots of good friends to keep me company too :). We're staying at the same place, which makes it that much easier, hazzah!
Yeah....watching too much Pirates, methinks...hazzah! can't do it all by me onesies, savvy? hehe. Anyway. I'm just babbling at this point, and I need to be up at four am to make the train for London, so I think I'll be signing off now. Cheers, Cass
