And now, a Blog:
                                        Great Coffee Can Fix Anything.

I spent one glorious hour today immersed in American culture at its finest. Yes, I scummed at went to Starbucks...where I paid four dollars for a vanilla latte (tall, too!) then I headed upstairs, commandeered a chocolatey brown velvet chair with a great view, and luxuriated in familiar surroundings. Its good for your soul to do that once in a while. I was romantically artistic today too- worked on my personal journal, wrote some letters, drew some terrible sketches, and evesdropped on all the fabulous accents in the room. Simply marvelous. And you know, that is the first cup  of coffee I have had since the day I arrived. ( I had one that first, frazzled night...but that's it!)

I've been racking my brains for a plausible children's story plot and coming up completely, horribly, massively blank. How typical. So tonight, deciding that one moment of self indulgance (coffee) deserved another, I took a bath. The bathtubs here are looong and deep, they take nearly twenty minutes to fill, but there's as much hot water as I want. It was great. No, it was warm and relaxing and soothing and therapeutic and zen.  All I needed were some candles and champagne (laughs). I had hoped the small stash of Eucalyptus Spearmint Foam Bath I brought along in vain (but answered) hope would help inspire me to literary greatness, but as yet I'm still searching.  Perhaps I shall find something in London. Oh- thank you for the wonderful suggestions, apparently my entry for January 1 is missing, because I have indeed seen Tate Modern, the Globe, St Pauls, Golden Hind, London Bridge, Tower Bridge (not the tour), Southward Cathedral, and the
HMS Belfast.  I'll have to recreate the page, lol.

I was thinking it would be fun...and challanging...and time consuming....but still fun...to create an interactive website, where viewers can click on the city or location to see my pictures and short blurbs of activity with each, while a full text journal is available elsewhere. It would give me an excuse to take more pictures, and also a way to show them off.  That being said, it will depend entirely on ensuing freetime, which I'm not seeing a whole lot of. But I have added a tentative
calendar of events, to give people a rough idea of where I am.

Well...tomorrow is my cleaning day, which means I need to have the floor devoid of cording, the desk free of everything but phone, computer, and lamp, and the sink cleared off. I posted pictures of that, too! They're in the "My Room" folder. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them, and be sure to keep me updated with your adventures too.

Cheers,
Cassandra
