Its my pleasure to introduce to you a sensational band from the Gold Coast of Australia called Kabarge. Since the bands formation they have undergone a number of personnel changes with a few of its members moving on to work with other musicians around Australia and the world. The new line up was sparked by the sudden death of one of its founding members Adrian Rarere in May of 2005. With heavy hearts the band decided to continue when founding member Mark Henderson enlisted the talents of vocalist Lian Niesler and in May 2006 musician vocalist Grant Mikaere. The band is renowned for its tight vocal harmonies and powerful solo performances which serve to highlight the incredible vocal range of each individual. Mark, Lian and Grant have amassed between them an incredible 58 years in the entertainment industry in Australia and New Zealand with musical interests ranging from rock n roll and Patsy Cline to Barry White and Latin-jazz. Come along and see for yourselves the versatility and the magic that is one of the Gold Coasts best bands KABARGE playing at a club near you right now! |

Mark Henderson - with 10 years experience under his belt, Mark is already a seasoned performer with a voice that has been described as sophisticated and polished. Mark started singing while still a teenager back in New Zealand. He sang with his good mate Adrian Rarere for a while and a few years later in 1994, partnered up with some of his workmates to form the band 'Off Beat'. When he eventually decided to move to Australia, he and Adrian formed 'Kabarge' with his sister Midge and Grants niece Marcia. Mark has continued from strength to strength ever since. Mark also plays guitar and harmonica and learned to sing harmonies at high school. Mark comes from a background in law enforcement, has fantastic leadership skills and a great love for all people. |

Lian Niesler - with 23 years of experience under her belt Lian started singing at the tender age of 2. She and her mum (Carol) sang country music in a band called Sweet Country. At age 17 Lian moved away from her country roots to explore other genres and styles, singing and performing with her uncle (Malcolm). Lian travelled extensively throughout Australia with bands like Serenity, Nova and the all female vocal group Kamballa. She also went on to perform in an American show called The Mystery Tour with Joe Daniels. Lians love of RnB and soul is clearly evident in the way she performs on stage. She has a tremendous vocal range and is without a doubt, one of the Gold Coasts most respected Divas. |
