Greet Members
of the IoKE ~ The
following are considered the proper way to greet a Citizen of the Kaapal Empire
(a medieval Feudal System).
Lord Perrenius = Sire, M'Lord, or Lord Henry.
Nobleman = Baron, Count, or Duke.
Ladies of Royal Court = Lady + name, Countess, or Duchess.
Royal Knights/Knights = Sir + name, or Sir Knight.
A female Knight = Lady + name, or Knight + name.
Royal Healers = Sir or Lady + name.
Royal Sorcerer/ess &
Priest/ess = Sir or Lady + name.
All other Citizens are not members of the Royal Court and do not have titles,
use their preferred name only.
Log
Spars and other Events ~ On
your AOL Main Screen at the top Tool Bar left mouse click on
"File" . You will see a drop down window, and in the last section,
towards the bottom of the window is Click on "Log Manager". At
the top of that window you will see: ~CHAT LOG~ If you are in a Chat Room,
Sparring Room, ANY ROOM...the name of the room you are in will appear in the
little window. If you click on "Open Log" you should see a window open
that will ask you "SAVE" Click on "yes", and then close the
window. You are now Logging that Room. When you leave a Room it will
automatically STOP Logging. So if for some reason you get booted off or leave
the room to take care of another issue, the LOG STOPS , if you wish to log again
you must restart the Log again as above. The Log will be stored/saved and you
can locate it in your AOL Down Load file.
Sending Log In ~
After you have finished logging an Event/Room. Go to
second Tool Bar at the top of the AOL Screen, click on "Mail" then
click on "Write". That will open a blank email form. Locate your AOL
Down Load File, open the Log you just saved, copy it <Ctrl C>, and then
paste it <Ctrl V> into the blank open email. Address the email to your
Sect Commander in the "Send To" then click on "Send
Now" just like you do when you send any other Email.
Not
Get Booted off AOL so much ~ Every
now and again all programs may have conflicts and need to be refreshed, or have
a "tune up". Both AOL and Internet Explore 5.5 Programs has
the tools to "repair" or "refresh" built into their
programs. Here is how to;
First you must
be off
line,
to do the following.
Repair
AOL Adapters: Click
on Start>Programs>American Online>AOL System Information. When you get
here you will see a bunch of "tabs",
click
on Utilities.
Here
you will see among other things Two Buttons, "Clear Browser Cache"
which will delete all of those damn Cookies on your system from the web you dont
need. AND the most important one "Uninstall AOL Adapters" Click on
that and follow the instructions, when you have said OKAY to all, you will be
ask to boot your computer. THEN WHEN you start to go back on line the system
will automatically reinstall your AOL adapters all by itself. I do this about
once a month or so....every time my system starts to boot me a lot.
REPAIR
of IE5.5 or 6.0 Browser: First
I do not know if you have the newer version of IE5.5 or not. But you will
know just as soon as you go here.... Click on Start>Settings>Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Then find "Microsoft Internet (5.0 or 5.5)
Explorer and Internet Tools. IF you see that, DOUBLE
click on it. A
window will open , click next to "REPAIR INTERNET EXPLORE" and then
click OKAY and you will need to reboot again. (If you don't see this, then you
have the old IE5, just close and leave, you cant do this repair).
This should help your computer operate much better on AOL. Also you should
always remove cookies, and run your "Maintenance Wizard" about every
two weeks or so. To do that: Click on Start>Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>Maintenance Wizard. That will clean up your hard drive, repair most
conflicts, and speed up your system by Defragment. It takes about 30 - 60
minutes to run this Maintenance Wizard on slower computers, but well WORTH THE
TIME !!
IoKE
Belong
to a Forum ~ The IoKE is independent of all forums and will remain so for
the foreseeable future. Here on the Isles of Kaapal, we are free of the
binds of other Rhydin Forum's and Guild's Rules. The IoKE is a Free Form, Medieval,
Feudal System Empire. The Isles are not
located in Rhydin.
Under no
circumstances does the Isles of Kaapal Empire recognize any AA's, DM's, or SM's,
even if
they may be legal in another organization, all are illegal for members of the
Empire to be involved with. Unless someone is a Citizen of
the IoKE and has IoKE dice, they have no power, and their activities must be ignored
by IoKE members.
Please feel free to contact either Lord
Perrenius if you
have any further
questions.

What is ... ?
IoKE Dice ~ In
Rhydin, dice is issued depending of Race of Being, i.e., mortal = 2d, half
mortal = 3d immortal = 4d. In the Kaapal Empire a Person's Dice depends on
Social Standing with in a Feudal System. Members of Royal Court = 4d, Knights =
4d, Warriors = 3d and etc, other Citizens will start at a 2d and may advance to
the level of Member of Royal Court, depending on the Sect they are assigned to
< Titles >.
Race has no bearing on dice in the IoKE. We are a Free Form, Medieval Feudal,
System Empire. Rhydin rules do not apply to this Empire.
Arrest/Restrain ~

"only" IoKE Citizens who will have the authority to effect, or use these
actions shall be;
a.

b.

Royal Knights, and Knights 4d45 or above.
The
following authority is
granted in good faith by the House of Perrenius and maybe
used only for the protection of
oneself, those who need help, or for the best interest of the Kaapal Empire. The
member may be released only by the one who locks them up or Lord Perrenius. All
members must abide by these rules or they maybe dismissed from the IoKE. Any who
feel these powers have been used other than stated above should contact a Sect
Commander or Lord Perrenius. The action taken should be logged.
