What is Ka Lei I Na Hoaloha?
Ka Lei I Na Hoaloha is a TRI-HI-Y YMCA service club in which most members are from Gabrielino High School. The phrase Ka Lei I Na Hoaloha means "circle of friends" in the Hawaiian language. Our mascot is the turtle; most refer to our club as "turtles" but we're starting to change that and be known as "Ka Lei". Our club colors consist of purple and seafoam green.
What do the members in this club do?
In Ka Lei I Na Hoaloha, we do a variety of things. First of all, we do community services. Weekly meetings, which can be a business, a religious or an educational, are held for the members every Friday at 6PM (unless otherwise noted). Our club also joins with another YMCA club to have social events.
When are tryouts?
Tryouts are usually held during the spring semester. Ask a member if you are interested in trying out for our club.
