| Week of January 5th: | ||||||||||
| Received telephone calls from "Bob the builder" regarding our permits. He said I had to go to Georgetown PUD and pick up the septic plans and give them to the county. The county had to have them before they could issue the permits. The only thing we were waiting on the finale okay from the county that we could get the permits. On Monday afternoon, Bob called to say everything was done and I needed to make an appointment to pull permits before the 9th of January. I called the county and made an appointment for 2:00 PM on the January the 7th. Therefore, I left work on Wednesday at 12.00 to go GTPUD, picked up the septic plans, then go over to the county. I got to the county office right at 2:00 o o'clock. Everything went very nice. They made me go to the environmental Dept upstairs to give them the septic plans. They had to do a quick review and give the okay to issue the permits. Thank goodness they where nice and did them right there. They were saying it would take two days before they could see them. Nevertheless, they to give me the okay to go back down stairs and pull permits. I went back down stairs talked to the cashier who asked me to write a check out for $8367.00 and that would cover all the inspections through the project. This was great because it could have been easily $10,000.00 more if it were not for Bob pulling the preliminary permits a year earlier to by pass increases in the DOT taxes. In addition, we did not have to pay school taxes because of our location. Now, this week ends with permits in hand. I hope that next week I will have subs signed and ready to go. | ||||||||||
| Weather for the week: looks like rain on Monday and then a dry spell for the rest of the week. We need that! 2-7-04 Well, we still have not done anything more on the lot because of the weather. But as I write this, we are in the mist of a good two week dry spell that will hopefully mean we can start the foundation this up coming week. We are going up today to check out the condition of the " mud". 2-22-04 Same old damn thing. Got a contract for the foundation and the frame though. So, this is good news. We almost got to start last Monday but it ended up raining that day. So we will continue to wait until we get good weather. Again as soon as anything changes i'll update this website. |
