Set as I wrote it down Kristin and Ali sweet-talked Danny into set lists. I know there were some on the list they didnt play, like End of the World and Old Browns Daughter, and they only did one encore though we did try to get them back out again. (I think they were too hot and tired.) Donkey Ridin Billy Peddle Alan thanked Danny and Tony for setting up the sound system, then went on to explain that Tony also does their hair and make-up and Danny also does the choreography. When Im Up I think it was here that Alan was asking if this venue was actually in Pittsburgh or in a suburb. (It was in Pittsburgh) He told about the time they were in Coney Island and he said Its nice to be here in New York and someone from the audience yelled, Tell that man this is Brooklyn! Not New York He said he got out of it by insisting he meant the State of New York. Goin Up Here he was commenting on the fact that it had stopped raining after being so horrible for 2 days straight. He said when they arrived it was still raining so they felt they better call the good Sisters of Mercy back home and get some blessings. Nice to have the BIG GUY on your side! Boston and St. Johns Paddy Murphy - Alan introed it by saying I guess youve heard enough songs about love far away. Love the one youre with. Ladies and gentlemen, San McCann from Gull Island, Newfoundland. Some of our songs are about drinking, some celebration, and some death. Some are about all three! And we were bad girls tonight. Consequence Free Here Alan said hed absolve us of sins wed care to do or had done since this was a Consequence Free Zone. We really can do this! Were all Catholic, you know! Then they all proceeded to bless the assembled multitude like four priests up on the stage. It was a panic! And I was caught with my camera down. Old Black Rum And now well take a dangerous trip. Not a physical one, but one through the dangerous waters of Bobs mind. (Bob smiles and points to his head.) Bob wrote this and insists its not autobiographical. (Bob smiles and shakes head NO)

Alan, Sean, Bob - notice Alan's hair and the fact that both Sean and Bob have two instruments apiece!!
General Taylor As usual, lovely, yummy, breathtaking. Lukey Feel It Turn Beggarman the man just gets better all the time Tunez Im a Rover Fast As I Can Oh my God, Alan was sooo funny here! He told the crowd, If you ever want to write a song for your girlfriend, dont write one where the lyrics say I'm not ready to say I love you yet. Then he goes on to tell us that said former girlfriend is now working as a cop. Yeah, can you see if I get pulled over? 'Put your hands on the car, son this might pinch a little LOL!
Jack Hinks After a particularly nice time where the group in front of the stage was dancing and singing our hearts out, Alan says, Were happy to be here tonight. See, if you build it, they will come. If you build it, they will dance, if you build it, they will sing. And tonight well be singing till 2 or 3 AM. San says, We should run out of songs about midnight. Alan but then well do some Sarah Harmer ones and some disco and eclectic jazz. Mari Mac Darrell was helping Alan play his guitar here. Ordinary Day Encore: I Wanna Be Sedated/Oh Donna San had to entertain the audience while Alan was busy trying to tune his guitar so they could do Captain Wedderburn. San launches into this song, sings about three verses and stops. Are you ready yet, Alan? Keep going Alan says as hes bent over furiously trying to tune. San begins to sing the Donna song. Have I tortured you enough? he says to Alan. No, not yet, Alan replies, still tuning. At this point Darrell comes over to help with the tuning and San is up there trying to explain that he usually doesnt do all the talking, Alan usually does this stuff because he is the eternal optimist and Im not. Captain Wedderburn nicely done by Sarah Harmer and San. He was sure to give her a hug afterwards and sang her off the stage Isnt she lovely? Excursion Round the Bay Aunty Mary
