A BABY moose near Trinity on the Bonavista Peninsula

He/she was about as tall as the van (we're talking shoulder height!)
Shortly after this was taken he decided to turn around and give us a good look, so we drove on out of there!
Who knew where Mama was?
This wonderful salmon speciman is blithely swimming at the Fluvarium near Pippy Park in St. John's.
What a wonderful site to visit!
The exhibit is very interactive and is built right at stream-side so you look through the glass wall and see the lovely fishies swimming by!
This Humpback whale was a little camera shy!
Taken fron O'Brien's tour boat in Witless Bay out of Bay Bulls
A little girl dropped her binoculars into the bay and the whale  came over to check it out!
The white is the flipper. You are seeing about one-fourth of the whale.
A group of 6 kayakers got a real close-up view of the whale!
They paddled from Bay Bulls, too!
The real reason for the boat trip was to see Puffins! There were thousands of them on Bird Island along with Kittiwakes, Auks, Murres, Gulls, etc.
