| Mari Mac I think it was here where Alan said that with his new haircut, San should do a rap song. San said that blondes do have more fun and maybe Alan should think about dying his hair. The whole audience screamed, Nooooooo! Sean started Mari-Mac out fast and just kept getting faster and faster. It looked like Bob was having a bit of a hard time keeping up with him. He certainly was having to work hard! Ordinary Day I LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did a short encore since the fireworks were set to begin. End of the World Excursion 'Round the Bay - Alan just has sooo much fun during this song. Darrell, of course, sang it wonderfully! Auntie Mary (the more I hear it, the more I like it) The lady from Argentia REALLY liked it and was dancing up a storm! And when San (not Alan) said, See you in Newfoundland at the end of the show, I nodded, Yes, this is my year! HOORAY! They left the stage and all of a sudden we heard the beginning to Ordinary Day. I think everyone thought someone goofed until we turned around and realized the fireworks were choreographed to GBS Yay!!! The fireworks were neatly done to a whole bunch of songs everyone knows. As I am writing this, Vic is adding his two cents from the other room. He says that there was a wave of acceptance and audience participation as the night went on, and that the fireworks, which started with Ordinary Day, just served to point out what an Extraordinary Day it was. (Doesnt he have a way with words? Thats how he caught me 30 years ago!) Had a great time at Janes sisters house afterwards with Jane, Fran, Jenny, Caroline, Ali, Karen and a couple others I can't remember. It was unanimously decided that Karen at age 14 is a reincarnation from the late 60's-early 70's. She just enjoys 70's music too much. And when we left this morning we were following a car from New Brunswick. When we passed them, Vic said the driver was at the concert last night wearing a Canadian flag. Boy, hes got a long ride home! And I thought we came far! Anne ;-) (Whose picture curse is over, Check 'em out!) |
