1999 Ford Mustang GT Coupe (35th Anniversary Edition)

  • 4.6L (281 cid) SOHC V8 (has one camshaft per head, 2 valves per cylinder)
  • Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection (SEFI)
  • Electronic Distributorless Ignition System with Coil Over Plug (Ignition coil for each cylinder is located on the top of the spark plug wire boot for that cylinder)
  • T45 5-speed manual transmission
  • Dual rear exit exhuast
  • 4-wheel  disc brakes
  • Indepenent Front Suspension w/ struts, coils, and stabilizer bar
  • Rear suspension consists of axle, two coil springs, 2 shocks, 4 suspension arms and a stabilizer bar.

 

Unfortunately, this is my mother's car, so I don't get to drive it much.  Every once in a while though.  This is definitely a FUN car to drive.  I love standing in front of the car with the hood up drooling at the engine.  I plan on documenting any modifications I make, here on this page, so check back every once in a while.  It's reaching the 60k mile mark at the time of this writing, so I have some preventive maintenance that needs to be tended too before we can start making any modifications.  Currently, everything on this vehicle is original.  100% stock.



This is one pretty engine.  Don't let the size of this picture fool you.  This engine is huge.
