Common signs of viruses:
1. Most obviously : Your antivirus alerted you of a problem.
2. Your computer has suddenly started running noticably slower.
3. Unusual error messages are popping up.
4. Programs have ceased to funtion proporly, or are acting up.
5. You get the blue screen of death : you get a blue screen with a long error message when you start up your computer.
6. Your computer turns off and restarts on its own.
7. Your computer locks up.
8. You can't access your files or hard drive.
9. You can't print.
10. Windows looks or behaves diffrently then recently.
Disclaimer:
There are literally tons and tons of viruses. They are grouped by general characteristics, such as trojans or worms. While these signs are telling of a virus, this list may not exhaust all the signs of a virus.
