Cause of the Epidemic
- We found out that the typhoid epidemic of 1998 was indeed a result of solid waste mismanagement within the area.
- But, it was not livestock wastes, rather it was human fecal waste, dumped on the neighboring brook which also merges with the barrio’s brook, joining the town’s Malaquing Tubig.
