The first website I put up was for my environmental science classes. It contains pertinent information about the course and samples of my students' work. After sometime, my students and friends asked me to add something about myself. Given that I have some time on my hands and wish to acquire web development skills, now you see my personal website.
The following pages contain materials and issues that I usually share with my friends. Since most of them have gone abroad or at least a plane ride away, I thought a website was a good idea to keep them posted on things I usually don't get to say via e-mail. My friends and I used to talk about everything and anything when we were still together, like when we were in college and during our early working years. These pages are like me thinking aloud about issues and concerns I most probably spend time on long after midnight. These things I would have conversed and debated with my friends until the early morning hours.

Loves. There will be no reference to anyone tall, dark and handsome, hehehe! Instead, a few pages are devoted to an alphabetical listing of my eternal and current passions.
Dilettante. There are several subjects that I have an 'open file' on. These can range from mundane thoughts to profound discoveries. If I chose to devote a paragraph or so to these, it means that I have not yet found the time or the energy to actively pursue them like I do my passions. I hope I get to do so someday.
Musings. My friend Catsudon keeps an online journal called a blog (etymology: weblog). I thought my personal website would be enough to keep my friends updated but I guess there are some thoughts and events that do not fall into the categories I created. Though I cannot 'blog' as often as Catsudon does, you'll have an indication of my state of mind through the occasional entry. If long stretches go without a word, that may mean I'm harassed and harassing other people, hehehe!
