Dominic spent his early years being raised by his Aunt Elizabeth in England. However, because she drank so heavily, Dominic was given over to the care of a nanny.
Eight years old, he was sent off to boarding school. When he finally reached 15, he came to America and moved in to his father's estate. He then went to a public school,where he met Elijah Chevalier. A friendship was forged as well as an obsession.
He freely speaks his mind and is not ashamed of what he is. He is bisexual and proud of it. Dominic is also use to getting his way.
He grew up in the world of the rich and because of this Dominic has learned that to get what he wants in life, one has to have money and power. Since he has that, he often uses it to his advantage.
Sometimes even abusing that power.
He has much to learn about the real world, and gradually, he is learning that not everything or everyone CAN be bought. The most human of all characters, he makes many mistakes and many wrong choices. But, he owes up to them and is always willing to make amends. His love for Elijah is often tested and one has to wonder if indeed, Love will conquer all?
Although he can be conceited, negative and manipulative-- he is also truthful and does try to right his wrongs. He means well. However, he dangles often on the edge of a cliff and we can only hope that Elijah will be able to catch him when he falls.
