Periodic transfusions of his blood can give others a second, a third lifetime, perhaps more. The blood transfusion works only temporary. To gain immortality one must continue to get a blood transfusion every couple of months. Hence the reason Ben left his job at Maitland industries and went on the run. |

HISTORY: Ben and Jason became orphans when their parents were killed in a fire. They eventually were placed in a foster home (of which they ran away from). Jason eventually went off in the military. As Ben was too young he found a home with Joe Carver. When he graduated from High School he joined the army. He served four years before leaving and going to college.
He received a degree in auto mechanics and proceeded to work for various trucking companies for some years before starting a job at Maitland Industires as a Test driver. Their he met Sylvia Cartwright and fell in love. Engaged to be married, Ben donated some blood at the hospital which would bring about his down fall.
Greedy men out for immortality forced him to go on the run, and therefore leaving Sylvia behind. Chased by the relentless Steel Fletcher, Ben traveled many places in search of his brother Jason, in who he had lost contact with since they were kids. Eventually, Ben met Jean Chevalier and once again fell deeply in love. With Fletcher at his heels, Ben was forced once more to flee, therefore never learning of the birth of his son, Elijah.
Now years later, Ben discovers the son he never knew he had, alas trouble rises again and this time not only must he contend with Fletcher but also the deadly Nigel Saxon and the mysterious IIA. |
