Registration:
- Forms must be into Pete by Aug 1 (tomorrow!!!)
Rover CD's:
- CD's are complete, final coast was $33.00, cost covered by group
- You can pick your CD's up from Bryan
Summer SCUBA trip:
- Waterton is out, as the forest fire has cut off access to the park
and we do not know when it'll re-open.
- Will do a one-night trip to Minniwanka on August 16 & 17. The
plan at this time:
- Pick up gear sat. afternoon
- Camp at Two Jack Lake
- Night dive?
- 2 dives Sunday
- Bryan will be driving up early Sunday, so if you can't make the whole
weekend you can get a ride up with him.
Winter SCUBA trip:
- Have not picked a destination yet, to be decided next meeting
- Will be scheduling the trip mid-Sept, so we'll need firm commitments
from everyone by then.
- We are looking into trips offered by local dive shops and tour groups.
- At this point the cheapest choice appears to be Maui. Some locals
in Bonaire, Cozumel and Rotan are within $200-$300 CND of this price. The
"cheap" live-aboards are another $200-$300 on top of that.
Next Meeting:
- Our next meeting is at Bryan's place, on August 20th (that's a Wednesday)
- We will be finalizing our trip plans for February at this meeting
- Originally, the meeting was supposed to start at 7:30. What we're
doing instead is start earlier and have a "wrap-up" BBQ. I'll provide
a BBQ, gas, and dishes; besides that you're on your own. You can start
coming at 6:30, we'll start the meeting at 7:30.
