Midnight Express
We took the Midnight Express Train Wednesday to Denali National Park, and again on Thursday to Anchorage.  Above is our Car 'D'.   We spent a total of 12 hours on the train.
Two couples were assigned to each table.  This is the table across from ours, looking out at a building in the distance. Right: The conductor/tour guide.
As we rounded a corner in the tracks, we were able to see the train engine and appreciate the length of our train, which had over 20 cars.   There were about 10 "public" cars in additions to various tour line cars. Princess accounted for the last 4 cars on the train.
The dome trains allow you to see everything...
The dining rooms are on the 'ground' floor and each car has its own kitchen and chef. Very fancy and the food was elegant, but a very casual atmosphere. There are observation decks on some of the cars......
Drinks are served on both levels....and of course there is a gift shop in one of the cars!
