Crimson Rose

The crimson rose is a large, beautiful butterfly, seen in good quality forests.

Its body is a bright pink.

A slow flyer, this butterfly settles frequently on shrubs, thus making it easy to photograph. This specimen was shot during a Trek'di trek to Kankeshwar Temple near Alibag in Maharashtra.
