The picture above, shows the Westridge Route, Hourglass Couloir, and summit of Little Bear Peak from Hwy 150. The area outlined in red is the slope that avalanched. Temperatures at night dropped to minus 25 and below. On another mission, I experienced temperatures of minus 20 as I started up the slopes of Little Bear at 0400 hours.
