Here's Saturday's progress on the quonset metal "barn raising".  As you can see, we built a scaffolding using the Ford and were able to erect two "ribs" of 20 total.  There are hundreds of bolts holding the individual sections of ribs together, as well as hundreds of bolts holding the ribs to each other.  The ribs are then strapped to the foundation, and in the end, this structure will be able to withstand 145 mph winds; however, until 5-10 ribs are complete, the structure is horribly weak and could fail in even light winds.  Murphy's law:  in the afternoon, a storm blew in (in the background), so we hastily added the necessary bracing and spent the evening at the local hot springs.  Thanks so much to my dad, brother, and neighbors Smokie, Claire, Katie, and Emily!!!
