On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, I had a day off between the finishing of the quonset foundation and the building being delivered, so I decided to leave at 0300 hrs. for an attempt at Little Bear Peak's summit.  I was on the trailhead at 0400, and by 0930 was at Lake Como.  I summitted at 1230, and returned to the trailhead at 1900 hrs.  (8000 ft. to 14,000 ft and back, 16 miles roundtrip).  The picture is one I took of the Westridge Route from the top of the couloir above Como Lake.  In the pic, I highlighted the remaining part of the route with a red line, and you can see the infamous "Hourglass Couloir" near the top (where the red line disappears to show the route goes up that dark couloir above the snow field).  In addition to the fixed lines in the couloir being pretty nasty, it also hailed on me (and cloud to cloud lightning) during the descent.  If you'd like to see a couple videos I made on the summit and during the descent, go to www.youtube.com/4kwright
