by lashing Texas

doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 8th, singled in the
9th, flied out in the 11th and hit an RBI double in the
12th. Gomes

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006: Padilla of Rangers Fires No-Hitter Against
Seattle
Vicente Padilla made quick work of the
Seattle Mariners earlier today. The 28-year-old hurler
tossed a no-hitter, fanning 3 batters in 9
innings. "I really didn't have my best stuff today,"
he admitted after the game, "there's a lot of luck
involved in throwing a no-hitter. People don't believe
that, but it's true." Luck, or not, Padilla will go down
in
history.
