There are many forms of motorsport in Ontario. Most, if not all of these motorsports, are grassroots style competitions. Fans can relate much more easily to this type of motorsport event because it is not so far removed that they can no longer participate, unlike other types like NASCAR.

For some reason, very few of the competitors have pursued corporate sponsorship. Given that almost half of the nation's population reside in Ontario, there is incredible opportunity for promotion of one's product and services.

With the exception of the Olympics and the Winter Games, no other spectator sport enjoys a larger audience than motorsport in Ontario.

This holds true with truck and tractor pulling as well. Every weekend from May until October there is at least one event and sometimes two, three or four. All of these events are heavily attended with an average of 4,000 - 5,000 spectators and many more indirectly.
